Club Kit

Please note - the ordering window is OPEN

The window will be open from 1st April through to 14th April.

Racing Kit

Our Club kit is now provided by DiBi, who provide an on-line ordering system. You can submit orders through this on-line system but please note that this is only available at certain times during the year.

If you want to order kit then click here and enter:

Username: mkrc
Password: mkrckit
(The password is case sensitive)

A kit page will then be displayed, and from here you can purchase kit

A word of caution - the All-in-one sizing is on the small side and you'll probably find that you will need to go up a size. If in doubt, it would be worth trying on an all-in-one at the club for size, just ask around to see who has a Dibi one.

NB - Once orders have been placed by you online, they cannot be amended or cancelled. Refunds cannot be given on custom items either. Therefore, please make sure you select the correct sizing options etc. MKRC accept no responsibility for orders entered incorrectly through the kit page.

You will notice that some items have the option of adding name embroidery to the kit item (which is quite handy when kit gets mixed up at races etc). Please note that if you select this option, you will be charged an additional £3.50.

Prices

All-in-One£40.55essential for regatta season
SS Tech Top£31.95this is what I would recommend to all members
LS Tech Top£33.95good for the more 'cold blooded' amongst us
Kit Bag£25.55
Gilet Tecnico£50.55nice and warm
Splash Top£66.95good for training and 'corporate' wear
Leggings£32.05would not be without mine - really comfy and warm
Technical Singlet£23.95

I believe that these are the current prices.

For the 'newbies'. The best kit to purchase is the MKRC Short Sleeved Tech Top at £31.95. You could wear any black leggings/shorts and could put a long sleeved black t-shirt under the tech top. Head races are a lot more relaxed about kit so you would be fine with the short sleeved tech top. When we get into regatta season the club kit is a lot more important - you will need a uni-suit (don't worry - everyone wears one and they are not as bad as you think - in fact, once you have rowed in one you would not be without it!!!!!) However, I would hope to open the ordering window again next year, before the regatta season, to enable people to order kit then.

Casual Kit

Orders for casual kit (t-shirts, polo shirts, jogging bottoms, etc.) are placed when there is sufficient demand. If you would like to order any casual kit, please let Paula know.

Other stuff

For other general rowing stuff, there are several good rowing kit suppliers around. If you're starting the sport then two items I'd recommend are the "Rigger Jigger" (a spanner with a 10mm and 13mm end, ideal for rigging boats) and a set of "pogies" (sort of gloves that go over hands when holding a blade). Both of these can be obtained from the excellent "Rock the Boat" who offer a very fast mail order service
