Sponsorship

Why sponsor Milton Keynes Rowing Club?

As an active club, we can be seen rowing on Caldecotte Lake every Saturday and Sunday throughout the year, with additional practices during the week when the evenings are light enough.

We travel widely, to both national and local events, to compete against clubs and Universities. This means that our trailers, boats, blades and club kit are seen and recognised by huge numbers of people both throughout the sport and by many interested spectators.

We can offer sponsors the opportunity to display their company name or logo on this equipment.

This will give you the chance to enjoy increased public exposure, and demonstrate your desire and willingness to support  local clubs.  Our increasing success is resulting in increased press exposure, our recently re-developed website is attracting increasing amounts of traffic (not just from MKRC members but other rowers and local people)  and we are actively promoting the club to other local websites.

As part of this continued investment in our advertising and presence, you would benefit from increased exposure as every advert will carry the club sponsors logo and we will actively push for your name to be mentioned in any press releases.

Specific sponsorship options include:

  • Kit sponsorship
  • Boat sponsorship
  • Event sponsorship
  • Trailer sponsorship
  • Website advert and other adverts
  • Full club sponsorship

If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities, please contact the Sponsorship Secretary.

Why rowing?

With the incredible amount of success enjoyed over recent years by British Rowing and with the 2012 Olympics approaching fast, we expect public interest in rowing to grow quickly. We are already seeing increased levels of interest in our Learn to Row courses and fully expect this to accelerate as we near London 2012.

Rowing is seen as a successful sport and one that is associated with great names and achievements - witness the number of "blue chip" companies who sponsor primary events.

Race Results

WEHORR 2013

The ladies squad followed up last year's impressive position in the Women's Eights Head of the River race by improving further in this year's race. Their final position was 67th overall, out of 320 entries. Another excellent performance by the MKRC ladies.

Star Head 2012

A huge entry from MKRC at this year's Star Head saw us return home with six wins. Pleasingly, these came from across the club, the winning boats being IM3 2x, Novice 2-, Novice 4+, Masters D 2x, Women Masters B 2x and Women Masters C 4x
