Regatta Results
The results from the 2011 Regatta are now available (as an Excel spreadsheet) here!Thank you
A big thank-you to all of the participants, competitors, helpers and spectators at this year's Regatta. Despite high winds, that made for some difficult conditions (especially at the start) we ran pretty well to time, and everyone seemed to have enjoyed the event. We'd love to know what you though about the event, what you liked, what we could have done better or just general views - please drop us a line at regatta@mkrowing.orgMilton Keynes Regatta 2011
Following the success of the inaugural Milton Keynes Rowing Club Regatta in 2010, we will be holding our second Regatta at Caldecotte Lake in Milton Keynes on Saturday 21st May 2011 starting at 10:00. This will consist of two lane racing over a straight 500 meter course from a stake-boat start. We will be offering a wide range of events in all categories, covering rowing and sculling, Junior, Senior and Masters events.
Last year's event was the first event we had organised and was a great success with visiting crews from Northampton and Oundle Town joining us for a wonderful day's racing. We hope that this will become an annual event for the local community and will increase the interest in this sport. This year, to allow us to gain further experience of running an event, we are again holding it as an invitation only match, and have invited three clubs from the surrounding area. We hope to open it up more widely next year.
