I have recently had the subject of medication and anti-doping regulations come to my attention and thought it would be wise for all of us who race to be aware of the rules of the World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) on competing which apply to us at every event in theory.

Below is the link to the WADA website and also the direct link to the Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUE) page which you need to look at if you're on regular medication for asthma for example. You will also find a link to the list of prohibited substances and you'll be surprised at the number of commonly used meds which are on this! It will tell you how to apply for a TUE if you are taking medication which is on the prohibited list and I would strongly advise you to do this, particularly if you are likely to be competing at the bigger events such as Nat Masters, Henley & the World Masters.
