Chris represented Milton Keynes Rowing Club and competed in the 1000m 30-39 lightweight category and won the bronze medal in 3.11.3 behind Damian Alonso of Spain (3.05.6) and Bergur Robert Dam Jensen of Faroe Islands (3.09.5) who were third and fourth at last year’s world championships. He decided to enter the European Indoor Championships having kept his fitness levels up and weight under the 75kg lightweight limit into the New Year after competing in the British Indoor Championships in December.
Chris said "I was very happy winning a medal in my debut at the 1k distance and am now looking for a good performance at the English Championships in Manchester on Sunday where I will be racing and competed again for Milton Keynes Rowing Club over both 2k and 500m".
MKRC wish him every success!
