Here are the details of his achievements:
Following his and the Club's success at the 2018 British Indoor Championships, he decided to take on the European Indoor Championships held at Gladsaxe Sports Arena North of central Copenhagen.
Chris represented Milton Keynes Rowing Club and competed in the 1000m 30-39 lightweight category and won the bronze medal in 3.11.3 behind Damian Alonso of Spain (3.05.6) and Bergur Robert Dam Jensen of Faroe Islands (3.09.5) who were third and fourth at last year’s world championships. He decided to enter the European Indoor Championships having kept his fitness levels up and weight under the 75kg lightweight limit into the New Year after competing in the British Indoor Championships in December.
Chris said "I was very happy winning a medal in my debut at the 1k distance and am now looking for a good performance at the English Championships in Manchester on Sunday where I will be racing and competed again for Milton Keynes Rowing Club over both 2k and 500m".
Update - In Manchester Chris won a Gold Medal in the 2000m 30-39 Lightweight category with a time of 6.41.9. He would also have been 3rd in the Open Lightweight category. In the 500m event he also took Gold in the 30+ Lightweight event with a time of 1.29.7.
