After much deliberation over the last days, the Committee has reluctantly decided that we have no choice but to suspend all club activities with immediate effect, until at least the end of May, due to the risk of spreading Coronavirus.

We feel that this is necessary in order to comply with government guidance; rowing and training could not reasonably be considered as essential activities.

In detail, this means that:

  • access to any area in the clubhouse, boathouse or to club equipment, is not permitted (Private single owners with equipment stored outside would still be able to access the lake, at their own risk, as stated in the Club Handbook)
  • Taster sessions and LTR courses in April are cancelled
  • the club will not be facilitating a trip to the Masters World championships in September
