Corona Virus update 17th May 2021
MKRC has re-opened, with all regular club sessions now running
A step closer to normality with restrictions further easing today 😊. The most significant change for MKRC will be that the kitchen may now open for hot drinks. Please see below for how this will operate and how other restrictions will be eased:
Clubroom & Kitchen area: Maximum 6 people including 2 behind the counter serving drinks. Could you please enter the clubroom through the main door, collect your drink, and leave via the patio doors. ‘Tuck system’ will be operating.*
Toilets & Changing Rooms: Maximum 6 people, which includes 2 in the toilet area
Pontoons: Try to spread across pontoons as much as possible, but during busy periods, two 4+’s may boat / land on the same pontoon.
Equipment Washing:
- Boats: No need to wash with bleach BEFORE outing, instead just spray touch points around your seat with disinfectant. Please continue to wash with bleach / disinfectant AFTER outing.
- Blades: No need to wash with bleach BEFORE outing provided everyone carries their own blade. Please continue to wash with bleach / disinfectant AFTER outing.
- You should have already received a mail from Karen explaining that cleaning stations will now be determined by the type of boat you’re rowing in, rather than being allocated each week.
Hope it’s clear! A few new things to remember, but let’s continue to help each other get it right.
And a reminder that Face Coverings are required indoors and requested outdoors.
Many Thanks for your cooperation
Helen *For new members, the Tuck system involves paying an amount in advance (typically £5 or £10), and then marking off manually on a spreadsheet each time you have a drink. Hot drinks are 20p, cans a little more.
