Sport MK's 'Masters Woman of the Year' award for 2022 goes to Helen Marshall for her impressive achievements over the last 12 months, culminating in 1st place in the Women’s Masters Lightweight Single category at the prestigious Scullers Head Race in September. Completing the gruelling 6.8K course in a single scull is a real test of fitness, stamina and technical ability. Coming first is testament to Helen’s dedication to training and fitness throughout the year. She is the first person in the club’s 27-year history to have won at this event.

CONGRATULATIONS HELEN! 👏🏻 🏆 🙌 😎

The award will be presented to Helen at a ceremony on December 6th.

Sport MK is a committee of representatives from various sporting activities across Milton Keynes. They use grants and funding to encourage pathways from grassroots to elite level, and to support community sport, health and wellbeing. Each year sporting achievements in a number of different categories are recognised in their Sport Achiever awards.

The MKRC Committee nominated Helen for this award and the Women’s Masters E/F squad for ‘Team of the Year’. Unfortunately the Women’s squad were not selected on this occasion.
