Last week 6 of us from Milton Keynes were fortunate enough to travel to Libourne in France to compete at the WRMR 2022.
- Karen Wilson
- Kim Hutchinson
- Lou Rivett
- Lucy Guest
- Paula Heywood
- Suzanne De Maine
It was an amazing experience to be there with so many other international crews especially after the cancellation of the event over the past 2 years. Unfortunately we had to make some last minute crew changes. Helen Smith was due to race with us but was badly injured and could not row - we were so pleased when Lou Rivett agreed to join us for two races.
At the World Masters it is common to see many composite crews (crews made up from different clubs) and club crews are more rare. We raced in 4 events in total joining with clubs from Belfast this time.(my previous clubs from long ago)

We are also grateful to all those who have supported us along the way.
WRMR will take place in South Africa next year and in Berlin in 2024 so if anyone is inspired to go I recommend you start your training now and make the commitment - its a fantastic event for everyone but the standards are high.
